Post Secondary

The Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP) is a federally-funded program that provides financial assistance to status First Nations and Inuit students who are enrolled in eligible post-secondary programs, which includes:  community college, certificate programs, undergraduate programs and advanced or professional degree programs.

The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte Post-Secondary Education program is comprised of two counselors who strive to assist post-secondary students attain their educational goals.

 

Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP)

The PSSSP program may provide funding for tuition support, living allowance and a book allowance:

  • Tuition support for part-time and full-time students is provided for enrollment in a public institution.
  • Living Allowance is intended for full-time students to help cover the cost for food, shelter and public transportation.
  • Book Allowance is provided to help offset the costs of books & supplies.

 

All eligible applicants must contact the MBQ Post Secondary Education Program to complete an application by JUNE 1st

 

Eligibility

To be eligible to access PSSSP an applicant must be a status member of Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, possess a Secondary School Diploma (unless over the age of 40 the required equivalent) and have met the requirements of the post secondary institution.
