Community Circle October 23, 2017

6:30 - 9 pm

This is the start of our split Community Circle evenings. 

We have 30 spots each night but you can only sign up for 1 night.

We are having Angela Wiggins come, she will be doing a step by step paint night on canvas with us.

Family Luau Dance Party!!! November 04, 2017

6:30 - 10 pm

Our theme is a Hawaiian Luau complete with Tiki Huts, 6 foot palm trees, parrots, a DJ, a dance squad, limbo sticks, and so many more surprises!
Come dressed in your favourite Hawaiian gear! 
We are still looking for volunteers who are 16 years and older as well as anyone who would like to donate a door prize or an item for the raffle table.
Admission: $2.00 per family or non-perishable food items for FRC
Each guest will receive a raffle ticket for door prizes 
THIS EVENT IS ALCOHOL AND DRUG FREE

Youth Entrepreneur Symposium From November 27, 2017 to November 30, 2017

Are you 19 - 30 years of age, and have a business OR intend to start one?
The Young Entrepreneurs Symposium (YES) brings young Aboriginal entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs-to-be together with business leaders and role models to help foster the skills, knowledge and networks they need to be the business leaders of tomorrow.
The three-day event is challenge-based. Teams participate in a series of competitions to build skills and gain valuable business knowledge. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three teams:
1ST Place: $5000 2ND Place: $2500 3RD Place: $1000
YES will be held November 27th - 30th in Vancouver at the Westin Wall Centre and MBQ will be sending a group of delegates! 
All costs are included (hotel, airfare, registration, opening reception, closing gala, and refreshment breaks, lunches and dinners. Spending money is not included. 

HOW DO WE CHOOSE?
Send us an email (500 words or less) or a video (3 minutes or less) telling us why you would be a good candidate to send to this event. Please send to reneeb@mbq-tmt.org with the subject line YES EVENT. Don’t forget to include your contact information - full name and phone number.

What is it? Gather your team of 4, register with us and start walking! 
We will virtually walk a predetermined route using a pedometer, send your team total steps weekly. Your team will be tracked on the route, first team to return to T.M.T. get bragging rights!
