Community Circle From February 26, 2018 to February 27, 2018

Beading & Mindfulness Teaching

We are exited to welcome Cassie Thompson our Community Aboriginal Recreation Activator ( CARA Program ) to host our February Community Circle. Cassie is an experienced beader and will be facilitating beading crafts with the group. All level of beaders are encouraged and welcome to our circle. All supplies will be provided including light refreshments.

During our beading we will have Britta Gaddes - Good Minds NNADAP - National Native Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention Worker speak about the benefits of mindfulness. Britta’s open interactive discussion will focus on our personal wellness when we create awareness around mindfulness.

Registration for Circle is at the Community Wellbeing - Health Reception

Registration is $5.00 per person - Non Refundable Please choose which evening you will attend upon registering.

Fun, Food & Falls From February 28, 2018 to March 21, 2018

Open to 1st time attendees only age 55+

This 4 week program will run every Wednesday from Feb 28th, 2018 to March 21, 2018 10am – Noon

Kanhiote Library - Soup Day February 28, 2018

11:30 am to 2:00 pm. come in and get a delicious bowl of soup, and roll $5.

Include a dessert for $1!

All proceeds to support Kanhiote programming.


CARA Program - Ball Hockey From March 01, 2018 to April 26, 2018

Looking for interested folks to play ball hockey. If enough interest ball hockey would start Thursday nights the end of March beginning of April. Please call if interested.

This supportive circle is centered around a group-directed discussion held at the Community Wellbeing Centre, Teaching Lodge.

Information around living with cancer will also be provided.

This circle is open to anyone who is living with cancer or supporting someone who is living with cancer. Cancer survivors are also welcome

The circle will be facilitated by Dionne Nolan, Aboriginal Patient Navigator for the South East Regional Cancer Program & Carol Anne Maracle

Annual community walk for the education and prevention of diabetes.
